House of Milner has been a Philadelphia jeweler since 1906, and our showroom at 728 Sansom Street is the only location we operate. We don’t have satellite stores, and we don’t sell through third parties — everything is designed, sourced, and serviced here. What that means for you depends a little on where you’re coming from, so we’ve broken the region down below.

Most first visits are by appointment. It’s not required, but it means a jeweler is free when you arrive rather than mid-consultation with someone else — which matters if you’ve driven in from the suburbs.
Philadelphia
If you live in the city, you’re within a few minutes of us. Jewelers’ Row runs along Sansom between 7th and 8th, a block from Market East and walkable from most of Center City. City clients tend to stop in on the way home from work, which is why we offer evening appointments on request.

The Main Line is where a large share of our engagement ring and custom work comes from. The Paoli/Thorndale line runs into Suburban Station or Jefferson Station, both a short walk from the Row, so plenty of clients skip driving entirely.

Clients from the western and northern suburbs usually make one trip count — a design consultation, a sizing, and a look at loose stones in the same visit. If you’re driving in from Doylestown or Media, tell us when you book and we’ll have everything pulled and waiting rather than sending you home and asking you to come back.

Coming over the Ben Franklin or Walt Whitman puts you on the Row in roughly twenty minutes outside rush hour. South Jersey clients make up a steady part of our repair and restoration work — there aren’t many bench jewelers left on that side of the river doing hand engraving and stone setting in house.
